podium endurance buttons and porsche wheel

I have recently purchased the podium porsche wheel and endurance buttons package for ps4 however i have put it all together and attached it correctly but none of the buttons work, do you have to do anything else first ?

And your Base is in PS4 mode with the most recent firmware?

Also, you need to press the PS button and assign the device to a PSN account, only then the buttons are working.
