CSL Elite for PS4 with Next Level Racing Wheel Stand

Hi,

Just had my CSL Elite for PS4 arrive and I'm currently using the Next Level Racing Wheel Stand Lite but thinking of upgrading to the Racing Wheel Stand as I can get one for AUD$200 tomorrow. Just wondering before I do, would I be better off stepping up to the DD version of the Wheel Stand instead for AUD$399? Would have to order it online and have it shipped out though so the other one is the more convenient choice but I want to know if I'm better off going for the DD version or if the regular Wheel Stand can handle the CSL Elite? Reason I'm going for the wheel stand is because I don't have the room for a full cockpit unfortunately!

  • I would go for the DD version for sure due to the pedal plate and other improvements. Though, im currently using the Next Level Racing Wheel Stand Lite with the Clubsport 2.5 base but also had it with the CSL Elite before and both works good imo.

Worth to mention is that i've custom made two "stabilization beams" from the base plate down to the pedal plate, but it should be fine without too i reckon but the two other options you are looking at will have less flex unless you do as i did with the Lite version.

That Next Level Racing Wheel Stand Lite looks real nice actually. Pretty sturdy too. Just to assure you it is more than capable of supporting the CSL Elite and from what I'm seeing should be able to accommodate a wide range of pedals. That stand may even be able to take a DD wheel. If I were you I would buy it and since you can get it right there in Australia it a WIN-WIN.

    This is the wheel right?

  • If you plan on upgrading to a stronger base in the future get the stronger wheel stand. The CSL Elite kind of maxes out this setup but it does work well.

I advise you to drill the 3rd hole in the middle of the wheel base plate otherwise you will be putting a lot of stress on just 2 bolt locations.

I started off with the challenger set up and cut the center post and added 4 steel square tubing legs and its SUPER solid now. But I would say bypass all that effort and grab the DD wheelstand if you want a more solid setup from the get-go.
