Clubsport Wheel Base V2 Boot Error

During the usual boot sequence on my CSW v2 (Formula v2 rim attached), once the wheel turns to full left lock, the lights around the start button flash (red) at a consistent speed. Also, it no longer is recognised as a device in windows (I'm hoping because it's not completing it's startup rather than a software issue) so I can't try any firmware updates.
I've tried researching what the flashing means but can't find any documentation online related to error codes. I've seen somewhat similar issues, some of which are solved by cleaning the sensor (although not entirely sure where to find that)
Does anyone have any idea what might be the error causing this? And by extension, any possible solutions?

Could you try to press and hold the power button for approx. 10 secs to get the base into bootloader mode? this way you should be able to flash new fw onto the base and maybe get it recognized again.
Thanks for the advice on bootloader mode, it was recognised by windows and I reloaded the firmware. Unfortunately the issue persists but you've given me rejuvinated hope that it's simply a sensor issue. Thanks, Sascha!
