  • The courier / logistic agency assigned to delivery your product. So for UK I think UPS.

  • I had a notification on the UPS mobile app via the tracking information that stated duty needed to be paid. So I called UPS and got through to someone who then took the payment. According to their chat help bot on their site the delivery driver can also take payment on delivery (but it also says there's a method to pay online, but I couldn't find it anywhere)

It didn't state how was to be paid, I only found out when I called up.

  • Lovely thankyou for your reply. I've decided I'm likely to just refuse delivery now. Not had any response from fanatec so don't wish to support this company with my business.

  • Hello all,

Iv just had to contact PayPal RE fanatec as I suspected they have increased the value of the wheel from there side I would assume to cover lost stolen damage etc but when the parcel hits the UK it is charged duties VAT etc

    MY INVOICE €511

value on the invoice from UPS €899

they are now replying to me now Iv opened a case on the account.. please be awful folks

Are you sure that the story from UPS or the invoice from UPS isn't just bullshit or mixed up invoices ?

To simplify it. Being an export without VAT correct value has to be declared from the exported country to get your VAT back. (yes I know in companies is not getting actual VAT back but offsetting in your vat declaration books etc. this is why I wrote to simplify it).

    Still being sceptical though

It cant be everyone in here reporting the correct amount and you are the only one with inflated invoice price to cover the insurance?

Companies (like fanatec) have insurance on the whole. They are not like you and me that have to make insurance every time we have to sent a parcel.

In your first post you have uploaded this one.

Looks like an explanatory breakdown but missing the top part.

    Did you receive your package?

Can you compare the 2 invoices? (the one you have and the one escorting the packages)

Also check the packing list document,

  • Please see invoice, I have removed all names etc but the description says CSL wheel etc and my invoice says €511,

can get a photo but don’t want to over load photos

  • This is the interesting thing. IF Fanatec was the one that had issued this invoice then UPS would have given you that invoice (mentioning the value of 899 EUro) together with the rest of the documents. Like a packing list, customs document and mentioning AWB, value, shipper etc etc. (used to be a bluish) and invoice value mentioned on the piece of paper UPS gave you should be matching the invoice escorting the parcel/parcels.

Now on this piece of paper, generated by UPS where exactly they got that value?

Can you double check the documents that came with the parcel? Should be in a stickered clear pocket on the box.

  • This is what UPS gave me and get the value from the seller obviously why would UPS just make up a number ? My invoice is €511 euros

Man I understand what you paid as per invoice. I am sure that UPS have made a mistake on the value they have declared in customs...

What you posted before, the UPS invoice is the only document UPS, brought you together with your order? That is the most strange part. 🤔

UPS most probably made up a number by mistake if your parcel didnt come alone from Germany but on a pallet with other stuff and someone has added up the total value pf the stuff on the pallet. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I would also blame/chase UPS as well and not only Fanatec.
