Fanatec DD1 Exceeded Maximum Rotations

I get this message in the display all the time:

"Exceeded maximum rotations, please restart the wheel base"

Everything still seems to work, though, Running 432 drivers, everything is firmware updated. Tried to recalibrate motor, doesn't help. Of course tried to power everything down and restart.

It can happen quickly while playing a game, after restarting the wheel base, I am quite sure the wheel hasn't been turned excessively when it happens.

Any ideas what is going on?

  • I GOT THE SAME MESSAGE SEVERAL TIMES AND IT SEEMS TO LOCK UP THE STEERING. I JUST RESTART MY WHEELBASE. I ASSUME IT'S A BUG IN THE SOFTWARE

For my case I figured ut what was wrong. I was using "Auto" for max steering angle in the Tuning menu, but the games I play probably don't support that. Changed it to 540 and 900 degrees, and problem solved.

  • I have this since updating to 433 and 435. Anyone figured out how to fix it?

  • I have this now, i cant seem to get motor firmware updated, and cant do motor calibration. It shuts of the engine, on rebout its there but can not set center, Can not apply new motor calibration.

    Hmmmm
