archive them all and send archive here.
FwMotorandRimUPdater would be most likely to be helpful.
Also look at Windows Event viewer for apps.
What fanatec gear are you using ?
Hey there! We’re here to help and appreciate the steps you’ve already taken to resolve the issue! It sounds like you’ve been thorough with trying different ports and flashing the base, so thank you for your effort. Let’s dive deeper to get your wheels updated smoothly.
Could you please check if your Control Panel and drivers are fully up-to-date? Sometimes, an outdated driver can cause compatibility issues with updates. Also, if you haven’t already, try running the Control Panel as an administrator to ensure there are no permissions blocking the update process.
If the issue persists, you can share your logs by accessing the "Support" tab in the Control Panel and saving the diagnostic file. Please send this file to our support team through the official support portal or via email. They’ll be able to analyze the information and provide more tailored assistance. We’re confident we can find a solution together! Best, your Fanatec team.
Here's the archive, I'm on Control Panel 464; As far as gear I'm using the CSL DD QR2 with Load Cell Kit + CSL Pedals all gear is up to date just the wheel that I cannot update
The FLEvents file, shows unhandled exceptions in the .NET system with:
FanatecControlPanel.exe
FanaLab.exe
Corsair.Service.exe
Is you Windows 10 / 11 fully kept updated and with the latest MICROSOFT .NET v4.8 Package as Log only shows (Framework Version: v4.0.30319 - not sure if this actual .Net version though).
Other wise hard to tell cause of issue though as no details on you computer, OP system, type of software and Security software and how stable it is in general.
You might try disabling most software on startup tempararily in "Windows Task Manager" reboot computer and try the Fanatec software again to update Steering wheels FW to rule out Antivirus software or other software from interfering in the process.
Run command line shell and run "SFC /SCANNOW" to check all system files for corruption or missing in windows.
Other old chestnut is check the QR2 Base side shaft is fully inserted to the hilt of the shaft coming from the motor as it may have slipped out in use and also that it is clamped securely to 15nm (Otherwise you may get random issues).
FWUpdateManager.log shows the failure to program, but not reason.

I'll try the framework update tomorrow I appreciate the help, I tried the antivirus and scanned/repaired and that didn't work. What should I be looking for on the shaft? I can check that out too
Here is a video of what should be done at factory, but QR1/QR2 Wheel side shaft can slip out, even by a millimeter will cause issues if the fastener collar isn't tight enough, can cause lose of FFB, buttons will not work, and possible other weird stuff, maybe motor can't talk to steering wheel correctly.
If your confident enough undo collar remove shaft, check USB-c connector isn't damaged and reinstall and re-tighten the collar to 15nm or as tight as you think is correct without breaking anything.
Also check end of all your steering wheels shaft inside of the QR2 and make sure they all have all the black plastic spacer (Not metal washer type) and new bolts heads holding the spacer are flush with the back end of all the pins.
Ian, Thanks man. I took off the QR2 when I got home from work and just clicked it back in and tightened it all up. Tried to update and no luck, froze again. I closed the program and took the wheel off to check the pins. Plugged it back in and BAM updated without me touching my PC. Don't how to replicate but I will take the update.
Appreciate your help!
