Gran Turismo DD Extreme wheel issues

Hello All,


Purchased a Gran Turismo DD extreme bundle brand new and it’s only 3 days and already having problems. 


Wheel just suddenly started behaving strange where some buttons would work and others wouldn’t. Then mid game the OLED display on the wheel would no longer show any more and unable to connect wheel

Back to PlayStation via PS button. Base is on PS5 mode. 


I tried to update the wheel to see if it would sort it out. The wheel updates to version 1.0.7.0 but still doesn’t not work. The OLED screen briefly turns on straight after the update but then goes dead and the wheel can’t be used. 


The wheel is still detected by Fanatec control panel but it doesn’t work. When I click tests wheel functions none of the functions work except the Force feedback test.


I’ve tried turning everything off and back on, disconnect wheel, reconnect but nothing works. The only thing that’s happened is the base just centres the wheel but the wheel remains off. Only time I see power to the wheel is briefly after I do the 1.0.7.0 update for like 3 seconds then it just shuts off. 


Any suggestions?

    Based on what you’ve described, it seems like the wheel isn’t receiving consistent power after the update. We recommend performing a full firmware update again, but this time ensure all components (wheel base, steering wheel, and pedals) are updated through the Fanatec Control Panel.
