Issue with Fanatec Formula 2.5 Wheel on EA F1 24

I'm experiencing a problem with my Fanatec Formula 2.5 wheel when playing EA F1 24. Occasionally, the wheel seems to "lag" during gameplay: the LEDs freeze, the buttons stop responding, and I'm unable to shift gears for a few seconds. However, the wheelbase continues to function normally during these lags.

This issue is exclusive to F1 24—other games like Assetto Corsa (AC) or similar titles work flawlessly.

  • Firmware and drivers are fully updated.
  • The issue does not appear to be hardware-related, as it only occurs in this specific game.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue or has experienced something similar?

no, but you could try older firmware for your steering wheel, there are reports that for some people firmware 455 should fix some problems

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. It’s great to hear that your setup is functioning perfectly in other games like Assetto Corsa, so we’re confident this is a software-related issue specific to EA F1 24 rather than a hardware problem. Occasionally, certain firmware versions can create compatibility quirks with specific titles. While you’re already running the latest firmware, some users have found that rolling back to an older firmware version for the Formula 2.5 wheel, has resolved similar issues. It might be worth giving that a try to see if it improves stability in F1 24.

Additionally, double-check the in-game settings and ensure there aren’t any conflicting controls or profiles loaded. Sometimes, manually re-binding all buttons and functions in the game can help. It’s also a good idea to disable any background applications that might interfere with the game’s input recognition.

We’re here to help if you need further assistance or guidance on rolling back firmware. Keep us posted on your progress, we’d love to see you back on the track without interruptions! Best, your Fanatec team.
