Steering wheel will not appear in app or update

I have tried everything provided on any forum or any page of the fanatec app. No matter what I try, my steering wheel still says “UPD” and the app still says wheel not detected. Every time I try to repair a driver it either says something went wrong or it works but just doesn’t change anything after I restart my pc. Someone please let me know if there is a fix

Hey David! We understand how frustrating it can be when your steering wheel displays "UPD" and the app doesn’t detect it, despite your efforts. Let’s work through this together and get you back on track! First, ensure that you have installed the latest driver and firmware updates for your device. Sometimes, uninstalling the current drivers completely before reinstalling can help. Be sure to use the "Fanatec Control Panel" to check for updates and verify compatibility with your hardware.

Next, try connecting the wheelbase directly to your PC using a high-quality USB cable, avoiding hubs or extenders. Restart your PC after installation, and ensure no background processes are interfering. If the issue persists, boot into a clean state by disabling non-essential startup programs to rule out conflicts. If you’ve already done these steps, it may be worth reaching out to our support team for further assistance.

We’re here to support you every step of the way. Don’t hesitate to share updates, and let us know how we can assist further. Together, we’ll make sure everything works as it should! Best, your Fanatec team.
