Fanatec GT DD Pro wheel base

I just brought a new Gran Turismo DD Pro Wheel Base today, because the base I got now has like a electric or like a sandy feel in steering wheel. I had this issue sometime ago and it went away after I downgraded to update driver 455 back then, and now it is back, I have updated the base to the latest Driver 464 to see if that helps, but it still does it. Then I went back to the update driver 455 after playing GT7, and then it is back after a few minutes of racing, and now it does not want to go away.
My question is with this new wheel base, do I really need to update the to the latest driver 464 or just leave it as it is ?.

Hey there! Congrats on your new Gran Turismo DD Pro Wheel Base! That’s an awesome upgrade, and we’re excited for you to experience the next level of precision in your racing. Regarding the drivers, we always recommend using the latest driver (in this case, Driver 464) for the best compatibility, performance, and to ensure you’re benefitting from the latest fixes and optimizations we’ve implemented. While Driver 455 worked for you in the past, the repeated issues you’ve described may point to other factors, such as firmware or even hardware wear on the previous base, which your new wheel base should resolve.
When setting up your new base, we suggest updating both the firmware and driver to the latest versions. This ensures the smoothest operation, especially when paired with GT7. If you encounter any concerns, feel free to reach out, and we’ll guide you through it step-by-step to make sure everything runs flawlessly. Your upgrade is a fresh start, and with the latest driver, you’re set to enjoy the best performance possible. Best, your Fanatec team.
Thanks for the reply and now the next day I made some setting changes to the the wheel, and now the electric and sandy feel has gone again.
This was a few hours of testing on GT7 and the wheel worked flawlessly with no electric and sandy feel, now I am at a lost on why it just goes away after a day or two, and never comes back for many many months. The last time I think it was a year ago I had a problem with the sandy feel in the wheel, and the it went away after I think I downgraded to Driver 455 and that fix it back then.
It seem the electric and sandy feel comes in my whee, maybe once a year and the it goes away and that is strange.
I don't think I cancel the new Gran Turismo DD Pro Wheel Base, because it is good to have a backup just incase. I had the old Gran Turismo DD Pro Wheel Base for I think 3 years now, and I really love it and it's still in firmware 455 and I think I leave it there for now.
I have a question when I get the new wheel, should I test it to see if works ok or just leave it in the box until the old base gives up.
The NFR (Natural Friction setting in Tuning Menu) can cause a random effect of sandy grinding in Fanatec Wheelbases as mentioned in the driver changelogs, where it recommends not to use it. ie (NFR:0).
I have had the sandy grinding issue very infrequently with my DD1 and F1 Wheel when using (NFR:20), I prefer to have it on, but have turned it off for now.
nfr can make some unnecessary vibrations in 464, i guess that's why you feel some sand, but not sure
fei can make also some sand effect if set to max but i think it depends off game
I have the NFR set on 5, and it has been like that since 2021. That electric and sandy feel I get in the wheel, I only had it 4 times in the last four years.
So it's a once a year I get that electric and sandy feel. which I find it quite strange.

I had the electric and sandy feel in firmware driver 455, but it goes away after a day or two and never comes back for another year, touch wood.
