Problems with shifter - No response from support

Hi,

I submitted ticket 2008120705 asking for help with my shifter mishifting. Two days later I haven't received any reply yet.

    Im still covered by warranty.

    However, swapping cables did not fix, i used a brand new rj12 and the issue is still there.

  • I'm sorry to say my dude, but I've been waiting for 2 weeks on a response and I've read that many others been waiting months for their issue to get fixed.

  • Weeks?! Months?! How could they still sell stuff?

  • Most likely it is caused by static EMI built inside the shifter.

    Unscrew the top 4 screws, lift the cover gently, disconnect the cable, reconnect, put it back together and recalibrate. It should be good for a while, if it happens again repeat the process.

    Known issue, it is ridiculous that there is no new revision which fixes this design problem.

    Wouldn't RMA because the new one will have the same issue and takes a long time.

  • I tried EVERYTHING over 1.5 years. I wont list them all, its too many. This tape covering all the way around the PCB and zero EMI interference can happen! 100% fixed many months ago. I spent money on so many troubleshooting ideas and some worked for a few hours - few days but this is the one fix to rule them all!

    I wont say, hope this helps, because it will be done for good.
