GT DD Pro, smell of burnt plastic and welding

Hello,

I just acquired the GT DD Pro + 8nm boost kit after using for years the G29.

Received on February 7th, I updated it with the Fanated app, then I played a few minutes on PS4 with the following games:

- Gran Turismo 7, 3 laps on Dragon Trail (around 7 minutes)

- Project CARS 2, I wanted to test karting but the wheel was always diconnecting and there wasn't any FFB on both PS modes.

- Assetto Corsa Competizione, 15 minutes of Q1 on Paul Ricard, then 45 minutes on Mount Panorama with multiples pauses to adjust the settings.

- Back to Gran Turismo 7, on the Nordschleife for 5 minutes

While on the Nordschleife, the wheel disconnected then I smelled burnt plastic and welding. The base was incredible hot on the right side (looking it from the back). I was panicked, and looked on Internet and it seems to be a know problem.

I am really disappointed with my first experience, even more with a product that costs 800€.

I contacted the support, and I hope they replace the defective base. I wasn't able to play racing games for a year because of defective pedals, I was so happy when I received the GT DD Pro but it lasted for 1 hour and 30 minutes...

Any similar cases ? I feel like I'm the first one of 2025.

    I have problem with the GT DD pro no buttons réaction and I don't connect to ps5

    My first exprerience is so bad

    I wait a answer of fanatec for refund the bundle or exchange the product ...

    It's been 5 days without an answer from Fanatec support...
