Hey guys, trying to figure all this out. I bought a used CSL DD Base 5NM with the upgrade 8NM kit.

I want to buy a fanatic wheel with gear shifters or paddles on the wheel around 13” for NASCAR racing but I’m confused on the QR2 , wheel side, base side connectors. It did come with a McLaren GT3 V2 wheel that connects. It also came new in the box a from what I can tell, a QR2 Pro wheel side ( gold color ) connector.

Also a set of Club Sport V3 pedals. Will all this match up or do I need any adapters?

any help would be appreciated

    The V3 pedals will work fine - the RJ12 cable plugs directly to the base - don’t use USB and RJ12 at the same time for the pedals

    The QR2 is upgrade to the orignal QR1, and is a worthwile improvement overall.

    So if the base has a QR1 (round post with a notch), wheel needs the same - you can’t mix them they won’t fit

    If the Mclaren wheel has the plastic QR1 then upgrade - its the worst of the QR1s - metal QR1 is ok but the plastic one is poor quality

    If you only have the QR2 for the wheel, then you need to buy the QR2 base side for the CSL DD

    If/when you have a QR2 base side kit as well, then install it on the base and then install the Qr2 wheel side on the wheel and you are done

    Future wheel purchases now come w QR2 so that should be your goal for the rest of what you’ve got
