Sustaining driver release

What is ment by "sustaining" driver? I've never heard this wording used before, thanks.

    Sustaining for us means maintenance / bug-fixing.

    It's a branch specifically targeting fixing long-standing issues. So a driver release specifically made for fixing bugs, not to support new products like the very next driver will do.
