Load Cell Pedal Breakdown
It is inconceivable that a brand of this range would give such a bad service of assistance. On the contrary, it is more correct to say that there is no assistance or even protection for the customer. I have the load cell pedal that after the update no longer works and the pc no longer recognizes it and despite the guides described on the site the pedal still does not work anymore. After contacting support several times via email, they always reply in the same way, that is, to follow the instructions of the support team.
So I end up with the load cell pedal not working and without proper assistance. And it me off because I, like so many others, have paid for these products.

It's just ridiculous not to receive a fix yet, it's obvious this problem is massive. It can't be just a few of us.
to you connect cables correctly like its typed in manual? in that video i to have feeling that one cable is wrong place, but can be wrong
The problem with that theory is that my pedals have been working & updating fine for the last 2 years.
Nothing has changed except from Fanatec.
I connected everything correctly, I tried it countless times and hk made 8 videos then sent to the support. Then, in order not to make a mistake, I only connected the LC to the computer with the USB cable and in any case it is not recognized. Also because everything else works perfectly including the basic pedalboard
im assuming they china assembly line sends them all the time the faulty devises. and there seems somewhere barrier that this issue continues and continues. there been allot reports about Load Cell pedal issues
Yes, but I don't think it's right that they keep customers like that. Precisely because they know that this is a widespread problem, they should at least reimburse the actual failures.
But it's odd that these failures occur with kit that is 2 years or more old & has been working fine until a particular update messes things up
Don't you think?
I think it's all software & it's fixable.
Or the update bricked it & we deserve a refund.
Unfortunately my fear is that the problem is due to the corrupt installation of the signature and consequently it is as if it were without a soul (I don't know if I understand) so consequently when it is linked it is not recognized, as if it did not exist.
doubt its a firmware fault. or every single user would scream here atm
It might only be a certain batch?
I bought it in December 2022 and it arrived in February 2023
well, there is a small change if developer mess input and output in programmable cpu. that could burn out the cpu self. but like i tell there should be then allot reports
Yeah. My pedals are older than that.
what could burn out cpu also is if there is a over voltage, i to not have the load cell so i not know what happens inside
Hello, I have a problem with the load cell kit. It has involuntary vibrations and is impossible to use. I am disappointed with this brand. I can't open a ticket because the website gives me an error. I write by email and I also do it on Facebook through a private message and they only answer me saying: "valuable customer, you have to contact technical support." This is a joke!...I hope you can help me here.
HI. Maybe it's better for you to open a new discussion, explaining as best as possible what the problem is, in order to have more visibility.
Hello, if you're referring to me, I've already opened two or three but no one has given me an answer.
when there was a update, does here was also update for pedals self as-well? some talk something about usb issue
Yes, it was the first time I upgraded my dd pro steering wheel with the boost kit and the load cell pedal. At the time I had version 453 installed, I connect everything correctly and I can update everything. Of course the pedal was not up to date because to update it I had to connect it separately with the usb cable. Then I disconnect everything and connect only the pedal to the PC with the USB cable supplied. The pc recognizes my pedal, starts the update and at some point he writes me installation failed. So then I try again but nothing, the installation didn't start. I unplug everything and plug it back in but the pedal is no longer recognized. I try to plug everything in and play gt7 on ps5 and the pedalboard doesn't work. But the basic pedals work. So I uninstall everything, reinstall the drives and update to 454 but nothing.... From that moment on, the pedal is as if it were empty. No firmware in my opinion. I sent videos and log of the failed installation of the pedal firmware to Fanatec, but they keep sending me the video guides to reinstall the drivers and everything without understanding that my problem is that the pedal is not recognized by any peripheral.
I was referring to José Gallego who has a completely different problem.
In your case, it's clear to me. You should really NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, update firmware unless absolutely necessary, or unless it has been tested extensively.
It makes no sense to update the firmware of a pedal set, especially if you then use it connected to the wheelbase. It doesn't matter what Fanatec or whoever says for it. Updating the firmware is extremely dangerous, the risk is to get an expensive paperweight.
Fanatec will respond, with its slow times, will repair yours and other pedals, if under warranty, but then do not update the firmware every time a new one comes out.
But do you agree with me that then it makes no sense to give the possibility to update the pedalboard if it doesn't make any sense in the first place and if the risk of bricking it is high?
In my entire life I have only updated the firmware of non-Fanatec equipment once. It was a DVD burner, which did not work well, at the express request of technical assistance. I updated the Fanatec firmware several times, but stopped doing so as soon as the warranty period ended. And in any case I have always waited at least a month after release before upgrading. Probably at some point I won't be able to use Fanalab anymore, but it's not really a big sacrifice for me. My equipment works, I just have a small shifter problem, already reported by others, that I can live with. If one day they solve this problem I might update the firmware, but I prefer not to.
Fanatec releases untested drivers and firmware. They released the 453 which created big problems, and then quickly released the 454 to fix the damage caused by the 453. Probably no one has tested this firmware on CSL pedals connected via USB. So a lot of people bricked their pedals.
If you try to update the firmware of any other equipment, for example Moza, a message warns you not to do so unless it is absolutely necessary. The procedure is extremely risky.
this is not actually clear that if driver brick the Load Cell, because if you search google they been allot problems with Load Cell before aswell
You've pretty much confirmed what I think about Fanatec, which is that they don't give a damn about consumers. Unprofessional and unserious company. Yes, my pedal got stuck with the 453 update and the funny thing is that I have never updated anything since February 2023 and now that I have decided to do so I have caught just the wrong version of the drivers. When you say 'in the wrong place at the wrong time'
stuck? you firmware update stuck when you todo firmware update ?, in this case yeah it could be dead now
Yes, during the firmware update the installation gave an error message and after that the pedal no longer worked and the pc or PS5 recognizes it. Maybe you understood my problem, I tried to explain it in detail to the support but they keep sending me guides on restoring the drivers (useless in my case) they don't understand my problem despite even sending them the pedal installation log.
I'm attaching it here because maybe you can help me figure out what happened.
firmware installing failure, need reinstall the firmware
CSPV3_LOG: Program/Verify Failure
corrupted install
That's right, the problem is that whatever I do the pedal is not recognized by the pc and therefore I can't install the firmware.
i understand , usually when something like this happens user self may cant todo nothing anymore, there is spetsial hardware tools for this for add firmware manualy to cpu.
unless if they to have somesort backup plan for this
