  • This is something I read also here in the forums but as my wheel is working fine again and just had this problem with the new firmware I am a little sceptical on this whole issue. 🧐 And why would Fanatec still send out Wheelbases with a known hardware defect? Doesn't make sense to me...

  • Its not always as easy as you might think.

Fact is, the Firmware issues, which could cause a disconnection of the CS DD, are all fixed and when someone still has disconnections with the new Firmware then the root cause is either in the base itself or in the USB cable or something else which is hardware related.

  • Hello, i get alot of miss shift since the 2 last drivers update. Im here to report my diagnoctics to help finding the issues.

Setup: PC, DD1, podium hub, QR2, rally podium module, advance paddle module, shifter 1.5 (paddle mapped), v3 inverted pedal, handbrake all connected to the base while playing AMS2.

I get a lots of miss shift (up and down), 1 per 1-2 laps. Sometimes, in rare case, i can even get double miss shift in a row.

After disconnecting the rally module, i get way less miss shift. About 1-2 miss downshift per 30mins.

I was trying to mess with the fanalab or closing it, but nothing seems to impact the behavior.

Im considering selling the rally module for that...

  • Hi Is there a guide to downgrading firmware and driver back to 457 and motor firmware to 455 i had no issues on these 2 firmware for DD extreme

  • Downgrade to 452

then manually flash the firmware of the wheel base and motor back to default

    worked for me.

have you try fully uninstall both the Fanalab and the Drivers and then install again?

    i not guarantee it works

also have you try use differed mode in the ACP ?

also have you try play when Fanatec control panel is closed ?

i been try here different methods but personally still fully not get yet where that issue may come from.

  • Issue is from wheel base firmware

    go to fanatec control panel

    tick manual update/recovery

and flash wheel base firmware and motor firmware back to default

I did this after reverting to 452 and everything works now

it’s the wheel base firmware that’s causing problem I think

    not the driver.

  • Hello!

    Hardware: PS5, CS DD+, CS_UH_V2, P_BME, P_APM

    I play only GT7

It has now happened four to six times that no input was possible via the Podium Button Module Endurance in the middle of the race and the shifter no longer worked. The problem occurs suddenly, without warning. Before that I had installed driver 455 for a long time and I didn't have these problems.

  • After seeing your post I tested and had this too, w PBME FW 24, APM & Podium hub, DD+ FW Base 2.2.4.0 WQR 1.1.0.3 on PS5, GT7. Immediate loss of FFB, buttons. Steering still worked. Had to power cycle the base to recover. Occured after about 15-20 mins of driving

I then restarted the base using a legacy 918 wheel, which has no FW, and then mounted the GT3 PBME bundle and drove for another 30 mins no issue.

Whether this proves anything yet, starting the base first w/o a wheel and then mounting the PBME might be worth testing further - I’ve noticed a slight diff in initialization when the wheel has FW

Because the PBME on DD+ still has other issues w buttons sending double signals and the joystick axis messed up, don’t use it much since getting the DD+, which I got partly due to the GT3 combo being a bit too heavy for the DD Pro. Now it sits - hopefully some love for the BME/R soon please

  • Hello after update Fanatec Control see Podium Button Module Rally as podium hub with ClubSport Button Cluster Pack base DD+ on GT DD PRO is fine.

  • Thank you just reverted to 455 and the Oled screen issue is resolved for dd extreme not sure how a update can break things this bad and then having to wait weeks for the next update is painful considering the cost.

Hi no body, i have the same problem, i downgraded to 455 and everything works perfectly, i opened a support ticket, i'ii update you when i get an answere!!

  • I just did 2 hours of GT7 with my DD+ on 463 and Podium hub with APM and PBME on latest firmware and not a single issue. Powered on the base and logged into the PS5 with the Podium hub+PBME attached. Total of 36 hours driving time now on 463 and it’s been perfect. This is a new replacement base though so I never got to try it with the problematic 456 and 457 which caused disconnection issues on two of my previous DD+ bases.

  • I’ve had no issues w my 918 or Formula V2 wheels w 463 since it came out w lots of hours. So just noting that w just 30 mins after putting the PBME combo on that I had that symptom. But another hour or so on the same combo, did not happen again. Too little data so far to draw any conclusions

  • Hey there.

I'm somewhat glad to report that the firmware combination I use seems to not pose any real issues anymore on my DD. No disconnect for weeks, feels good. Just a menu setting that should not be on my wheel I think. (Vibration on GT Extreme)

    Base 2.2.3.7

    Wheel 1.0.7.0

    QR 1.1.0.3

If that info is still valuable.

    ---

    BUT!!1einself

Are you by any chance still working on a new firmware for the V3i pedals?

Would be nice to have neither delayed input (newest) nor instant yet slightly eratic input (1.32).

I mean i take the eratic input over the delayed or even the older extremely rocky ones any day of the week because it's such a minor misbehaviour, but would be nice to know - or if you are done with them so I can close that chapter in my he-head.

    HAND

  • "Are you by any chance still working on a new firmware for the V3i pedals?" -> Not in the near future, no.

  • Hello,

    I'm on:

    Driver: 462

    Wheel Base: 2.2.3.7

    Seering Wheel Hub: 6

    Button Modul: 24

    Wireless QR:1.1.0.3

    Fanalab: v2.01.54

Since i have switcht from DD1 to CS DD+

i have every Day to update the firmware of the Button Mdul endurance.

Every Day i update on Button Modul 24, next day it is back to Button Modul 1, and i have to update again.

    ???

    Can i fix This?

I have two Button Moduls, same on both.

  • I have exactly this same problem. And the change was also the same from DD1 to DD+. On my old DD1 everything works fine. As far as I've found out in my case I can't have ITM+Mouse enabled on the steering wheel. When I press the menu key. The cursor goes crazy on the windows desktop and inside iracing it switches to the camera looking to the sides. And when this happens it asks me to update PBME again. The only solution I've found is to not enable ITM. Then everything works fine. But I think this problem is under investigation for future drivers ;)

they probaply doing too many things at same time. Fanalab the new software the new hardware and the other things.

and in end they just release another bug thing

at least that how i see it

  • I couldn't tell you. The problem appeared when changing from DD1 to DD+.

  • DD1 likely has a different processor and comm chips than DD+ (being 1st generation DD) so FW is not the same. It has to do the same things but needs different code and creating that seems to have left a number of things that work on other bases to break on the DD+. They will have to find those issues and fix the DD+ FW to behave correctly

microchip technology is similar to each other, but yes as we dealing different chips, the extra work needed

  • I just updated to 462 from 455. Honestly i have nothing good to say about it, it completely changes the feel of the steering wheel, its like driving on a cloud, no ffb, no details, nothing. There's no connection to the road anymore, i have a clusbport dd and this driver version made it feel like a 3nm wheel base. I dont know if its the new firmware or the driver but extremely disappointing .

Avoid at all cost if you have a clubsport dd and play iracing.

PD: Formula v2.5x leds still bugged.

  • Hi! I don't use Iracing but my CS DD works as it did before going with 463. No change to the ffb feel or anything else using ACC. AMS2, LMU, EA WRC, DR 2.0 and RBR. Have you tried anything else, besides iracing? Also, I didn't have any of the issues that others were having, previously.

perhaps you settings changed after the update, try reset them to default in fanatec control panel

don't underestimate the DD1/DD2 they are older but they are still fanatec best products. i would not tell why. and i will let you live in Alice wonderland

  • I've got Clubsport DD too, but the FFB is strong like a 12Nm WB. 😅😅

Almost the same as 455. 462 only fix my RGB LED freeze (and I'm happy about that).

there is some reports that settings changed after update. i'm guessing he had that issue

new users could get confused if they still not learned they own hardware how exactly it works

Thats why Fanalab exists. To auto-load your personal profile settings everytime you launch a game. If update change settings, you've got Fanalab.
