QR2 wheel does not detach / come off the base

Hi all,
I have taken delivery of my first Fanatec set this past weekend and was able to try it out briefly. So far, having only ever used a G920 it is excellent.
It is a CSL DD with Boost Pack, CSL Pedals and the CSL BMW wheel.
I have the following issue though:
I have installed the QR2 on the BMW wheel (used the plastic washer and screws that were already on there?) and plopped it onto the base. It works, every button works, the LED and screen work and I have force feedback.
BUT
for the life of my I am not able to take the wheel off. I pulled with as much force as I dare, wiggled slightly (scared to bend anything in the base) but it does not come off.
I do not have a second wheel (yet) so it is not urgent, but taking the wheel off would make getting into the rig so much easier.
anyone have had the same issue? How much force SHOULD I apply here? Is there risk of damaging the base?

Do you pull the sleeve on the QR2 before trying to remove the steering wheel?
Yes I do pull back the QR2 sleeve.
I have actually managed to take the wheel off by wiggling the wheel "up and down" instead of "left and right"...
Great to hear that you've found a solution by wiggling the wheel up and down! Sometimes, a small shift in technique can make all the difference. It’s important to remember that the QR2 system is designed to hold the wheel firmly, but with a bit of patience and the right motion, it should release without issue.
Now that you’ve figured it out, getting in and out of your rig should be much easier. Just be sure to keep an eye on how the system behaves over time, and if anything feels too stiff or doesn’t release properly, a quick check of the QR2 connection or a light cleaning might help. Best, your Fanatec team.
