DD1 Malfunction

Hi All, I have had a DD1 base since May however after an incorrect plug in of the pedals to the data port the Wheel no longer is recognised by the PC or Xbox. I get a Malfunction error message via Windows, There is noting obvious with the wheel and powers up and has no errors present. fanatic initially suggested a few things to try but have gone quiet on me this last week and have not replied to my emails for 6 days. Not ideal. Has anyone had a similar issue and was it resolved.
