Intermittent loss of shifting and display on rim CSL Elite with P1
Hi all,
I have a new CSL Elite P1 ps4 edition.
After a bit of a session sometimes I cannot shift anymore and the display on top of the rim is dark. A second or two later it is back up again and I can shift again.
Any ideas what this issue is? Is my rim or wheelbase bad?

Probably not very helpful, but I’m having the same issue. I have the same base, different rim though. I’m going to try other firmware to see if it solves the issue.
Have you tried other firmware/drivers yet?
For me it clearly a mechanical issue.
When the display is off and the shifter dont work, and can tap the rim and it comes back. Or when I depress the bottom of the rim towards the wheel base it also shuts off the display and the shifters.
I highly doubt that software can fix this.
Created a support ticket. Will report back once I have a solution.
Ah I see. That sounds a little different from my issue. Even if I don’t touch the wheel the display will come back and the shifters start working again.
Anyways, I’ve also sent an email to Fanatec. So I’ll let you know what their response is, too.
I’ve had to sent my wheel and base back to Fanatec to get them repaired. So I guess it is/was a hardware issue after all.
Hey Marcus. What was the issue? My P1 wheel has the same problem.
I don't have that problem with my Formula V2 wheel.
