McLaren GT3 V2 rim slipping

Hi, I’ve had the McLaren GT3 V2 rim for about a month, and I’ve noticed it slips rotationally during use. It seems the key molded into the CSL quick release wasn’t designed correctly, and allows some play between it and the wheel base. I’m concerned this’ll create issues with broken pins in the future. Has anyone found a remedy? It seems that the slipping is getting worse for me (it’s easier for the QR to slide on the wheelbase shaft).

First contact Fanatec support.
I would, but it’s easy to see this was a design flaw in the QR. there’s nothing Fanatec support can do about it besides send me a new QR which will wear out within a month, and not tighten down enough again. Whomever designed the key in the QR that interfaces with the wheel base shaft did a poor job.
I preorder this wheel, all people have the same problem? Is for cancel the order
I'm going to replace mine with the aluminium qr and if necessary use the screw.
Testing for slip is fairly easy, while wheel is powered off, rotate fully left and once you reach the travel end apply a little more pressure then rotate fully right and do the same. If there is any slip you should feel a little extra movement.
This translates, for me anyhow, as an extra movement in the wheel on change of direction when in game. Quite annoying really.
Yea it’s been getting worse for me. I removed the QR, and mounted it to the wheel base to see where the slip was coming from. It’s due to the key molded into the QR being narrower than the key way cut into the wheelbase shaft. I have no idea why Fanatec designed it this way... I know the aluminum QR should fix the issue, but I shouldn’t have to spend another $100 to fix something Fanatec should have gotten right the first time (not to mention $100 is stupidly overpriced for something that amounts to a $15 eBay QR with a hole in the middle).
And now the shifter is getting loose. Seriously, did you not even attempt QC on these products? This thing is basically paper mache.
what do you mean by the shifter is getting loose?
So there now seems to be some play when I pull the shifter (either on the left or right). I can slight rock it from side to side towards and away from me. It’s also now much louder when I pull the right side of the shifter as opposed to the left.
i have the same knocking, how did this pass QA? the tolerances on wheel base shafts must be terrible
Yes, it is constantly knocking because it won't thigthen enough. I've had mine returned and my money refunded.
