New drivers with older games and plugins

Need some help from the older members of this group!!! I race in a league that uses rFactor 1.255G. Yes, the original 2005 rFactor. Leo Bodnar FFB plugin. I was having great results with older firmware, drivers 328 and 356 on my CSL Elite. My CSWv2.5 (BMW rim) has always been limp and dead feeling, but my CSL was amazing. That is until I bought a new CSL universal hub. I had to update to 4.02, and as expected, limp wheel, no FFB. Any suggestions from this group on getting this poor 16 year old game to behave? I am pretty much maxing out all settings and turning FOR off to get just the centering spring for oval racing. Thanks in advance!!!

Unfortunately, you are somewhat caught in a catch 22 loop. This is not what you are gonna wanna hear, but the problem is, if I’m not mistaken the new Driver. There is some problem with the wheelbase sensitivity not matching what is happening in game regardless of adjustments. I’m not positive that this is causing your issue but, I’m assuming it probably is affecting something. Solution is go back to a stable Driver, although not really a solution for as much as a workaround. Although, you could barely even call it a workaround in your case because the older Drivers don’t support the new CSL Universal Hub.....which you already know.....
He has a CSW now, which doesn't have the SEN issue with driver 402.
Pretty sure the way it was worded, OP has both.
