DD - difference between low torque mode and normal, what is it? How many nm?

Hi all

Does anyone know the actual difference for low torque mode of the DD1 base? How much nm torque is there without the key?

Been searching but cant find the figure.

  • 10 N m I think.

  • CSW 2.5 is rated 'up to 8 Nm' according to the official specs (https://fanatec.com/us-en/racing-wheels-wheel-bases/wheel-bases/clubsport-wheel-base-v2.5)

But remember the note in section 5.4.1 of the DD1 manual:

When a Fanatec steering wheel with Simplified Quick Release is used on a Podium Wheel Base, the torque will automatically reduce to the level of the ClubSport Wheel Base V2.5.

So to unlock the full potential, you'd have to upgrade the QR. Sticking in the torque key alone won't help much.

  • Thanks for the replies, much appreciated

I was curious as to the comparison between the DD low torque mode and the new CSL-DD at 8nm. If the cheaper Fanatec wheels can do 8nm on a DD1, they will work just fine with the 'cheap' DD.

    Cheers :)
