Fanatec DD2 EMI interference?

I just recently purchased a new sequential shifter for my rig and I am using the Fanatec DD2 for my wheel base. It seems that the shifter is effected by the DD2 because it shiftes by itself in game and when I am monitoring the Windows Game controller app. I can see the buttons flicker as if they are activating by themselves. Now it only does this with the DD2 on, if I turn the DD2 off the shifter does not do this. I have tried everything to solver this. If I unmount the shifter from my Simlab rig and place it about 3-4 feet away and plug the USB to the back of the PC it does not shift by itself there. Any help would be appreciated.
