CSL DD motor firmware issue & no output
Hi,
After I received my CSL DD I launched the Utility software (Driver 381) and I was able to read outputs and feel Force Feedback.
After I upgraded to the latest Driver 410, I tried to update the firmware to the latest versions as well. After this update I didn’t receive input and force feedback anymore from the steering wheel (it is still recognized in the utility software).
The wheel base firmware updated without problems, but the motor firmware is crashing everytime I try to update it.
The motor firmware version sais “0.0.0.0”.
On the FAQ page of the CSL DD are troubleshouting steps to resolve the version zero problem by installing Driver 400.
The download link of Driver 400 forwards me to the homepage of CSL DD without downloading a file.
Can some-one provide me with Driver 400 or is there another solution?
I can do nothing with the wheelbase at the moment because of the motor firmware update crashing.

try this https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/1758/symptom-fanatec-driver-does-not-install-uninstall-correctly hope that helps.
I tried that multiple times already. It doesn’t solve the problem unfortunately, but thanks for the help.
Same here, exact problem. Probably I also made the mistake using the old wheel property page....
i had also some problems by installing the 410 driver over the old ones. After removing all Drivers and SW from fanatec and installing only the 410 driver everything worked fine
Yup, tried the exact same driver...
I will give them a phone call tomorrow. Let’s hope they can sort it out quickly with a software fix without sending the unit in for RMA.
@Dr Krablander
do you get this too?
Same problem here guys, try different solution but nothing, try to update with 402 driver and 410, after uninstalling the old ones, try to update with a new pc clean from every driver nothing, try laptop and nothing.
I hope that fanatec will find a solution quickly.
I get the first loading screen, after that the windows doesn’t respond anymore and I have to force quit the Fanatec application.
I don't have the wheel (preordered) but, answering your driver download link, it's on the forum: https://forum.fanatec.com/uploads/272/XJJIDZ9T5YOA.zip
If the link doesn't work, search for "Fanatec_driver_400" on this page: https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/602/latest-public-final-drivers-bookmark-this-thread-to-be-notified-of-new-uploads
Kind regards,
if you wait long enough you will get that second screen too. Today I send mine back (RMA)....
Today, FANATEC support has introduced the RMA procedure.
Fanatec provided me with steps to hard-flash the Firmware (holding power button 8 seconds), this didn’t work for the motor firmware unfortunately.
I am awaiting their response again. They will probably start an RMA procedure.
Had the same problem and I had to RMA my base. Today they told me they started the procedure, I'm now waiting for the logistics to send me the return label, hopefully tomorrow... Has anybody completed an RMA already? Any idea of how long does it take to get a new one back (I'm the US)?
Please re-test your issues with the new driver 411 and report back in that discussion if you still have issues. there is also a new feature to report logs.

Same issue here.
I've tried the 400 drivers as per the FAQ but support told me today that the FAQ was wrong and there is no CSL DD firmware in the 400 package. They've now corrected the FAQ.
Also tried the 411 drivers as requested, nothing works. Finally got an agreement to start the RMA process, just waiting on the service team to contact me with next steps. Hopefully won't take too long! Excellent to receive it early, but really disappointing that it simply doesn't work.
I had the same issue and tried multiple USB inputs with no luck. I fixed my issue by loading the Fanatec driver 410 on a second computer. Plugged in my CSL DD and went through the wheel firmware update with no problem.
Hi I have just received mine and have tried with the new driver 411 and it is still not working. Motor firmware fails to update and software is recognising all button and shifts but no rotation on the wheel. I have tried this from my main pc and laptop, same issue on both.
Same problem i have to send it back to fanatec....
I also have this issue unfortunately, still waiting for any help on my support ticket though.... Already day 14(!) without any help. When you call them you get a tape saying the hotline is suspended in order to prioritize support through e-mail. Well can't experience any prioritising there :-(
Did really expect a lot better from Fanatec
