Camera not looking forward with Steering wheel RS

Hi,
last week I received my new wheel which I was mainly gonna use for rally and also some forza, which I though was ideal because it also had an joystick for freelook. However when I map said joystick in Forza Horizon 5 the camera gets defaulted to looking back and to the right. I can still move the camera fine with the joystick and when I unbind it the camera looks forward like normal. Anyone have any idea what could cause this?

had this in AMS 2. had to unbind look left and right. just something to try maybe
I had to send my wheel in for RMA due to malfunction revlights but will try that once I get it back!
