CarX Drift Racing on CSL DD? Help

For some reason my wheel won't work on CarX or BeamNG. It works perfectly on Assetto Corsa but nothing on carX. When I go to settings in CarX it recognizes my wheel but it doesn't show it's "ACTIVE" and when I try to bind/calibrate it nothing works? Can someone please help me out I'm on day 2 of ownership and really want to play one of my favorite games.
I'm on PC if that helps, I've already updated the firmware for everything and have the newest fanatec control panel. I tried all three modes(PC, Xbox, Comp) Is there a driver install that I missed ? Help would be much appreciated

Hi Jordan,
Both CarX and BeamNG should be working in Comp mode. There could be something in your PC installation that is conflicting. Are you sure you are switching to this mode before launching the game?
Also there are some settings in the Steam controller options that can cause issues on some games. Make sure 'Generic Gamepad support' is unchecked, for example.

I've been trying PC mode mostly this whole time I'll give comp mode one more try. I did get BeamNG to start working properly but CarX still a no go. Ill comment again once I try thank you for the reply.
Still nothing...but I did notice when it's in comp mode it says Telemetry is uninitialized
Same situation. CSL DD not active even though CarX sees it in controls menu. Nothing else conflicting, is in computer mode and when pressing B for allowed axes, the sliders move with wheel and pedal movements. Thoroughly stumped.
