Universal Xbox Hub stuck in constant boot up loop
Hi,
I purchased an R320 rim and universal xbox hub bundle.
I used it today for the first time, connected it, it booted up and calibrated and all the firmware was updated.
I switched games and used my Formula rim for a few minutes and when I went back to attach the R320 it is stuck in a constant boot up loop and the wheel is never detected. I tried re-installing drivers, base firmware but absolutely no luck. It's like the Xbox hub has no brain and doesn't know what to do with itself when connecting to power. I have attached a video of the issue.
Here's the strange part, the Xbox hub has a USB C port, I tried to connect it to my laptop and it worked. The firmware was all up to date and didn't show any issues. I tried to remove the port and the rim stayed detected and was even able to detect in game and it worked. I tried to restart the base without having the hub itself connected via usb c, and voila, it went back to the same issue.
Can anyone shed some light? I am about to go mental.
Thanks,
Dalton

How did you come to the idea to connect the Hub via USB to the PC?
The USB port on the Hub is for attaching the Podium Button Module Endurance (and other upcoming Button Modules), it is explicitly NOT for direct USB connection to a powered device like a PC.
This is even mentioned with a relatively big image in the manual:
You might have broken the Hub by doing so while its still connected to the Base (something like this can cause a short on the PCBA for example, at least thats the case for Pedals when they get connected via RJ12 to the Base and via USB to the PC, I guess something similar could have happened to this Hub here as well).
You will need to contact the support to get the Hub repaired / exchanged.
The issue occurred before even trying that.
yeee right 🤡
oh yes, I’m worried some tool on a forum doesn’t believe that yet again another person is having issues with the csl hubs.
Thanks a million for your helpful input.
