  • I'm assuming it's the exact same as the v1 base. PS3 mode is explained at 3:37

    Sadly its not!
After upgrading yesterday my PS3 mode didn't worked anymore!
They changed the mode with the upgrade.
Its in the new quick manuals.
Its now the bottom left black button + some from the top middle

But the video is really nice cos I can finally see the button discription for ps3.
Searched the whole fanatec site for it

I got mine yesterday but I can't make it work in PS3 Mode...

Ummm will someone tell him or will I ;)

I wish someone would tell me how to make the V2 work with my PS3 . I can't even navigate the PS3 menu with mine & have no steering or pedal input at all !? Works fine on my PC with no issues !

Thanks to all who help !

It looks like the buttons to press are start+select and not select+O like the guide says on the universal hub. Thanks for the video! I think I have the old firmware (056) the the combination is different, the manual is probably with the latest firmware.
  • Great news, I live in France ordered my v2 on 6 oct and just received my UPS tracking number.

    :D .

Now I need a Xbox One rim to enjoy it. Please Thomas let us make a pre order, I want to be ready for Pcars.

     Thank you fanatec team.

This would be a big reason for me to buy an Xbox 1 since I do have interest in Forza however then there is Driveclub that would interest me as well. Hmmm decisions?????

As for now for the casual title I am enjoying The Crew immensely and if anyone has interest to just drive any types of roads or off road and see the sights the game does not disappoint.

Anyway I have my additional code to give away for the NA webshop if anyone is interest first to PM me with your Fanatec member details(email) it's your

    Status: Still Open

    Status: Transfered

  • Nice to see that some people have not so much bad luck.

Wanted to install yesterday the pedals right and saw that the shock is broken from the break :(
Base not ok, pedals not ok, great and exaclty before christmas.
  • AND too big hands for the Formula wheel... Damn Patrick...you've got such bad luck in this one..
  • Personally with firmware 065 the fan does not work on the side and back of it is running a 50% power but not as many heats the cold air coming out is the basis didnt really heats the area. For me no problem with the fans.
By departing against the wheel was at least one and a half turns into a now he finger swipe barely 3/4 of a turn, that someone has felt the same.

    HI guys!

I received the base and just installed the latest firmware which is 65. Why there is no light on my formula 1 rim? It is rotating upon starting up but no light or any indicator- -

It is all good now! Wohoo! The wheel is so smooth! Great stuff, Fanatec!
  • Carmine that looks GREAT!!!

Awesome, I see you also have the playseat, have you hard-mounted your pedals? In that case, could you please tell me how you did it?

Playseat has a new pedal plate that allows easy 4 bolt hard mounting. Call and ask about ordering one you'll be glad you did.

    It's the Stig :D

    Very nice set up \o/
  • This new wheel base is is POWERFUL! Spring and Force action in iRacing is too much to handle past 30-40%. Thanks for an amazing machine.

Thomas please have your Germaneering department take a look at the flight simulator community. We have been in dire need of a professional force-feedback flight control yoke.

Thanks, I'll try that, currently I have a side door of a PC cabinet bolted to the pedal face to expand the holes. It works but it looks crap especially now with my V2 pedals.
  • The Playseat new pedal plate is also adjustable in angle and height!!!! Will order one too when XOne wheel news is given.
  • And.....

I couldn't resist the urge so I woke up past 12 midnight and opened the box, took the base and tested it, leaving the box and all under the tree (pardon here for being cheeky, hehe).

Truly, a wonderful piece of german-engineering. The quality and feel is superb; smooth as silk and the ff is strong even at 50-55.

I willl calibrate the SQ shifter later as I ran out of time and might get caught sneaking, avoiding being labeled as naughty these holidays.  :P

Remember guys, it truly is worth the wait.

Well I got news from my base fan problem.
After I kept it the whole weekend from juice, yesterday evening the fans finally works like they should.

Its not like that I didn't restarted it a few times after the update... :-w

Anyway now the left fan stops and the back one slows a bit down.
    But its still pretty noisy.
Not sure if I can live with that :(
  • Patrick, maybe now is the time to return it and have the motors checked out. It could be they are faulty and will be repaired. If they report back it is functioning as designed, well, then you have a decision to make.
You could use it as is, ask for an exchange or a refund.

  • Awesome, I see you also have the playseat, have you hard-mounted your pedals? In that case, could you please tell me how you did it?
Right now they are semi-hard mounted.
I put the pedals on the playseat support and centered them. Of course the holes fall outside so I used a spare metal piece I found with two holes and I attached it to the playseat support on the top left corner as an extension (I'm sure you can find one at an hardware store).
Then I fixed the top left part of the pedals on the other hole. The pedals are so heavy that even fixing this bit only worked fine for me, no matter how hard I press the break or the clutch, they don't move. You just need to make sure that the top-right part of the pedals is sitting on the playseat support (so the pedals are slightly centered on the left hand side).

I check mine  and after the calibration processes, the fan went silent. Just sharing my experience for your or other's reference.

Have you updated V2's fw, sir?

  • I got the wheel base yesterday and today I connected it to the Rseat RS1 rig.
The only rim I have for it is the regular formula rim.  I updated the firmware to version 65 and then went to the settings screen to try out all the buttons. Once I hit the test forces button,
I thought the wheel was going to shake all of the welds loose on the RS1 rig.

I had the Elite wheel before and I just have to say this is much much stronger then the elite.  There is also a very smooth feel to this wheel.

This is much stronger than the T500 and TX wheel which I also own.

    Nice wheel!!! base

Yes I'll ask the support about it.
Maybe the fan is just broken.

Thanks a lot for the explanation.
  • I am using playseat revoultion and everything fits perfect, the CS SQ, wheelbas V2, and V2 pedal.

I'll try to post some photos and the mounting points of each for reference.

    Best regards,
