Why can't I connect to my Xbox one?

I purchased the Forza Motorsport Wheel Bundle for Xbox One & PC and I finally received it after 140 days. I've connected it to my pc and the firmware is the latest version and I cannot get it to connect to my xbox one. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? the xbox is fine, the buttons on the wheel register on my PC, but I can't get the button on the wheelbase to turn green even with switching using the Y and select trick.

My experience with Fanatec and their "Germaneering" (total arrogance) is beyond words.

    By accident maybe the tuning menu enabled when you want to change modes?

    Make sure it says xbox on the little led screen not pc mode. Its the two boxes button and x at the same time

    Thanks for the responses. I figured out that it's the buttons on top of the wheel and not the buttons on the front. I guess this makes sense now that I think about it.
