Advice for beginner please before purchase CSL ELITE

Hi,
I am looking to buy a set up for my son to use with his PS4 (maybe upgrade to PS5 later). He currently plays F1 2020 and would like to try other racing games. I am thinking of starting with the CSL Elite bundle and pair this with a racing seat/ frame from another supplier.
Is this considered a fair way to start?
Will he be able to use this for Xbox games also? Can he also use this with Assetto Corsa and Gran Turismo?
Anything I need to know before ordering? thanks for any advice given.

To use CSL Elite wheel base + on PS4/PS5/Xbox you need CSL Elite Racing Wheel WRC.

This is compatible with PS4/PS5 but not with Xbox.

Yes, you need PS4 compatible wheel base and Xbox compatible steering wheel.
If your son is mainly into F1 2020 racing, you should consider the CSL Elite Espots bundle:
The included wheel suits formula cars by far better than the round P1 wheel. However, this wheel isn't compatible to the XBOX as well, so you're still in need of another wheel, which then could be a round one for GT cars racing....
