ACC +DD2 soft lock not working
Hi, I have a Fanatec DD2 and Formula V2 steering wheel. I just bought ACC and set everything up with the recommended settings. I filled in 1080° steering lock in Fanalab and also in the game.
My steering wheel turns with a 1:1 ratio to the steering wheel in the game, but there is no soft lock. I can keep turning when the in game car reached it's maximum lock. Also when I spin out or crash into a wall, the wheel keeps spinning until the 1080° lock is reached. This make it really uncomfortable to rejoin the race after spinning out because I have to turn over the F1 wheel by 1.5 turns before I can go again.
I put the steering wheel lock now to 640° (for the Lambo) in Fanalab and the game and this a lot better, but I would prefer to have an automatic soft lock so I don't have to change my settings for every car again.
I'm I doing something wrong? Because I read online that there should be softlock support for Fanatec wheels.

AFAIK ACC doesnt support such a softlock option.
Thanks. I saw somewhere a video of one of the developers and he mentioned a soft lock. But maybe not all wheels/drivers are supported...
Set the correct steering angle for the car in both fanalab and the game. This will simulate the steering max lock.
Yes, the rotation is 1:1, but the wheel doesn't lock up when you reached the max wheel angle in the car. And when I spin out, my wheel keeps turning until it hits the 1080° limit set in Fanalabs. I have to change the lock for every car now.
I've got both the DD2 and T300 and neither behaves like you describe. Does any wheel have this support? Maybe contact the dev or find the video and deduce what wheel they were using?
I found a video of Aris (one of the ACC devs) that spoke about the right settings and he mentioned soft lock there. That's why I thought it was supported. But it seems that the other guys that responded here don't have a soft lock as well.
I wish they would use the iRacing implementation here, so the wheel doesn't go crazy when you spin.
Yes you need to set the SEN for every car or at least every car that has different settings. The in game setting won't do this AFAIK.
Yeah, that what I do now. But I prefer the iRacing method. I never have to touch it there.
