Emulate Mouse Emulation -> can't change options greyed out

Hi just got this kit in the mail and fiddling around to get it all happy.

It worked for a bit, but now I can't change the options.

Win10 64bit driver re-install fixed it but only temporarily.


Is this a new driver / firmware bug?


-CSW 2.5 / driver 381, BASE FM 680, MOTOR FM 22.

-Porche 918 RSR

-Elite Pedals LC via RJ12 to base


Thoughts on how to fix w/ out another driver re-install?

I tried pressing all the buttons on the wheel as per another thread to no avail.

    You need to press button 4.

    Thank you for the reply Maurice, thought I tried that when pushing all of them.

    Strangely enough I came home today, read your post, and was about to re-try pressing button 4.

    I powered the steering wheel on, went into Fanatec Wheel Properties, and guess what... I was able to change the options again.

    It would appear having the wheel powered off over night fixed the problem.


    There appears to be some inconsistencies here I hope Fanatec address:

    A) If you do have to push the assigned button to "un-lock" the options I have not seen this documented anywhere and it's not intuitive.

    B) I can now freely change the options and button assignment without performing "A"

    c) because of "A, and B" and the fact powering the wheel off overnight fixed it, I will therefore assume it's a bug and needs to be fixed


    Or am I missing something here?
