The new steering wheel f1 2021 does not light up

Good morning,
I recently mounted the new limited edition f1 2021 steering wheel.
I have noticed that it does not light up when it is in dark conditions.
Am I wrong something? Is there any setting to activate or is it just not working?

It only lights up when you "charged" it some hours in the sunlight.
Its not an active LED illumation but a passive Phosphorescent.

Obviously never owned a glow in the dark toy when younger.
