Removing hinged plate from V2 clamp (solved)

I'd like to remove the hinged plate from the V2 table clamp and mount a wheel base directly to the top plate. Is there a recommended way to remove the hinge pin from the hinge?

Edit: Literally 30 seconds after posting this I realized that what I thought were spot welds are actually tiny lock screws that can be removed using the included allen key.
