Attach magnet to CSL DD for Dashboard?

Hi guys,

I want to attach a magnet (like this: https://amzn.to/2ZAvdmo) to my CSL DD wheelbase, so I can attach my smartphone as a dashboard. Could the wheelbase be impacted by the magnet?
