Hi guys,
Yesterday morning I was racing with my csl elite wheel, and the basic csl pedals. all working good.
around midday my new v3 pedals arrive,,, woohoo.
I turn off my wheel base, and disconnect from pc,
take out old pedals and connect new v3.
when I turn back on windows doesn't recognise wheel !!!
ive tried deleting and reinstalling drivers
I tried all that again without pedals
ive tried trouble shooting and fixing usb hub
tried the boot thing where you hold button for 8seconds. nothing works guys
please help.
ps im old and bad with tech so plz keep simple - im on windows 7
ps ive also tried on spare pc windows 10, and still same.
ps4 doesn't work either
thanks in advance Dave

Hi David, have you connected the pedals on the base or the PC direct?
I am a newbie as well.
To the base mate
What steering wheel do you use? Maybe it has defaulted to Xbox mode somehow?
this one, I forget the name,
and no its on red light, for pc mode.
Try reconnecting the old pedals.
Have done mate. Still the same.
with and without pedals also.
And the base on its own, no rim or pedals.
Sorry to ask again.
Did you try to uninstall the Fanatec driver completely. Maybe a file was left or something?
Which drivers and updates you have installed?
Did you also try running the Fanatec driver installer and using the Repair function
Maybe Maurice Böschen can help you better from his experience or sent a private message to Marcel Pfister who is from the tech department but might take some time to come back (usually 1-2 days or so). 😇
Yeh fully mate.
Is the repair function when you hold the power button until it flashes red/blue ? If so then yes.
also the fact I also plugged it into the windows 10 pc and still have same problem surely means it’s an error with the wheel itself ? Or base
I’ve opened a ticket to fanatec yesterday as soon as it happened but they are taking time to reply.
suppose to be league racing to 😡
The only thing you changed before it stopped working was adding V3 pedals ? Which Driver do you have installed?
As a quick test try, without the wheel plugged into the PC, Go into the Control Panel / Devices and delete the Fanatec CSL from the list. Restart and then plug in your wheel. See if that helps.
It always had the latest driver.
not sure on the name sorry.
since I had issues I installed the beta version.
cool thanks I’ll Give that a try after work.
I still don’t get why it would do it on 3 diff computers
So update.
I tried what Joseph said.
no luck.
only thing difference is I’ve plugged the pedals direct to pc and they work fine.
so base must be bust?
if I get a new base will it still not recognise ?
Hmm and I assume the connections are all correct on the pedals (RJ12) to the wheelbase? if so, then you'll have to wait for support to follow up.
