ClubSport V3 common brake input problem - fixable?

Hi
Based on forum and internet searches, there is a common brake pedal input issue with the ClubSport V3 pedals. There is flickering ghost brake input, and pressing the throttle can also result in brake input.
I know the workaround is to create a dead zone in the bottom range of the brake pedal. My question is, how many of you have had the issue fixed after an RMA process?
And for those of you using the workaround, does the problem worsen?
Thanks

Hi David,
This can happen because of the way the three pedals are built together rather than being separate assemblies for each axis, combined with a very sensitive load cell sensor. A lot of pressure on the throttle can cause a small amount of movement in the frame, which can be detected by the load cell. This can also be influenced by how well the pedal set is hard-mounted to a rig (a strong pedal plate can increase the rigidity of the pedal frame, but mounting it badly with inaccurate mounting points could also cause additional twisting in the frame).
Adding a small amount of pressure on the brake as you manually set the 'min' point should be enough to avoid this. It should not get worse over time. The min point will be saved to the pedal electronics until you perform a new manual calibration, or switch it to auto calibration, or if you update the pedal firmware. So these unwanted inputs can 'come back' if you reset the pedals in that way.
If this unwanted brake input is not solved by setting a min point, it is possible that there is a hardware issue with your pedal set, and we can take a look at it.

Dear Fanatec,
The problem discrebt here is the same issue I have with my brake. Didn't have this at all when I got my V3 pedals a year a go.
Since a couple of weeks I had problems when pushing in races that the car was acting strange and sometimes stopped in the middle of the track for no reason. When checking the brake I found damage on the aluminium part inside the moving part af the brake. (picture)
But even after fixing this the problem stayed the same. My clubsport V3 are fixed on a sim-lab evo 1 rig. I play at this time only on PS5 so manually adjustedment is not possible. When I look at the pedal input on ACC you can see clearly the falls input of the braking pedal. At this point I have tried everything but the problem stays the same.
Do you have any solution to fix this problem, it's impossible to use the pedals in any type af racing. (problems are the same for ACC and GT7).
I want to make the switch from PS5 to PC around april. I can't update the pedals because I have no PC, only apple computers. (would be great to be able to update from applecomputer). But for now I need to get my pedals fixed.
Kind regards
Stephane
