Clubsport USB adapter, can’t change from handbrake to pedals?

I just bought the DD pro and it came with the new CSL pedals. I want to use them with another brand base for my kiddo.
My only issue is that my clubsport USB adapter was set to be a handbrake. It is recognized in Fanalab as a handbrake when I plug in the adapter to my pc to change it’s settings.
The problem is that then new Fanatec control panel does not recognize the adapter, so I can’t change it to a pedal set vs a handbrake or shifter.
If I try and install the driver/software package for the adapter from the Fanatec website, it says I have a newer version of the software and will not install.
How can I change this adapter to be used with the new pedal set now?

i have the same issue with using the CSL elite pedals with a g920 wheel. it sees the pedals as a shifter. did you figure it out/
Hi guys,
It's possible that some temporary files on your PC are preventing the installation. I suggest trying to install the driver on a different PC and flashing the USB Adapter firmware from there. If this doesn't help, please open a support ticket via the My Products section of your Fanatec account.
