DD2 connection issues
I just got a Podium DD2 wheel base and have had been using a Clubsport V.25 without any issues. Everything is connecting properly between my V2 wheel, V3 pedals and Clubsport shifter to the wheel base, but I cannot get a solid USB connection to my PC. Most of the time it does not find it when I plug into the PC, but if I keep retrying it and/or trying it in different ports it might be found, but if I then try to go to 'properties ' it will not go to the setup screen and freezes or looses connection again. Even on the occasions when I do get the device to be found in the game controllers menu it is not found in the Fanalabs software. If I restart my computer it will lose connection again and the process starts over again. I tried using the USB cable from my Clubsport V2.5 and had the same results, so I don't think it's a cable issue. All of the drivers are up to date. Any help would be much appreciated.

I would think unstable connection like that is too long of a usb cable. Are you using any kind of extension?
Would try to disconnect as many additional pieces as you can. Update the base alone individually. Be sure to do driver and firmware. Then add wheel, pedals, etc 1 at a time.
This guy has mostly similar and got it working, has his steps at the end: https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/2583/dd1-driver-calibration-issue-fanalab-tuning-menu-w-r300-button-cluster-pack
I'll give that a try, but no, I'm not using an extension, just the USB cable that came with the dd2 wheel base.
I followed the process by Matt Davis and was able to make the proper connection. Thanks for your help!
