DD CSL Pro unplayable after new GT7 update
After setting this wheel up and mounting it to a cockpit it easily became one of my favorite games to play. I had just beaten the campaign and took a break so I didn’t get burned out from playing so often. And I come back after maybe no more than a month and the new gt7 update made my wheel feel like it’s on Zero FFB. I checked forums and updated my wheels settings but to no avail this $1500 setup sitting in front of me is useless. Nothing changes it except putting it in compatibility mode and even then the FFB is a joke.
nothing I’ve tried has fixed it and sony customer support doesn’t seem to care I wonder if Fanatec customer support will?

Maybe post your current wheel and game settings so that people can see and offer suggestions?
In my original post I stated that I checked forums and updated my wheels settings. Just didn’t state it was the “Maurice Böschen” recommended settings for the new update 1.15 . My first step was checking the forums and changing settings. Is there something I’m missing here it worked perfectly before the update. Each lap used to be a workout and was really fun. Now it’s like I’m back to the ps5 controller expect I’m sitting in a $1600 setup.
It's the update and Polyphony is aware. This time it actually is the game. You can go to Compatibility mode/purple mode and it will be like it was before 1.15 patch.
Yes, and we're many who find the new FFB to be much better, since it doesn't go numb/clipping in corners. They just need to turn back the strength.
Personally, I'm both faster and have a lot more fun now. Why some experience "zero FFB", I have no idea. I'm on PS5 and the 440 beta firmware.
I agree the ffb is better, but so weak. Hopefully this will be changed soon.
The compatibility helps but it’s not like it was before, I purposely jumped into a car that I’ve spent the most time in recently and it was a completely different car…

It's not Beta though, 440 is a stable release driver.
Maurice why hasn't the main driver page been updated? It's been a long time since 440 was released, and I am sure most owners are not running 440. Things are getting weird around here.
Because it wasnt worth it as it was just the release driver for the BMW M4 GT3 steering wheel and therefore it was only uploaded on the webshop page of the Wheel.
New driver 442 will go on the driver Website next week.
This problem is not on Fanatec, it's on PD. You will have to wait until the next update for GT7, unfortunately.
and wait some more. 1.15 was weak but acutally quite good once the more strength was added by upping fb in game and on wheel. 1.16 restored the force level but wiped out the tire force details - its all just flat grip, no detail in the corners.
