Driver and Firmware Update

I just bought the Podium Racing Wheel F1 with V3 Pedals. I have been reading the manuals in how to download the driver to a PC and the instructions on steps to update the wheel base. My question is when I go to update the wheel base should the pedals be connected to the wheel base via the RJ12 or to the PC with another USB cable. If they need to be connected to the PC to update firmware do I do it separately after the wheel base or at the same time?

Noooo!!
Don't do that.. if you do that you can fry your pedals and they will not work anymore
if you connect the pedals via USB you need to disconnect the RJ12 cable before
What is the proper sequence. Update the pedals separately with a USB connected to the PC? Or connected with the RJ12 to the wheelbase with the wheelbase connected to the PC with a USB? I totally understand that both the USB and RJ12 cannot be used in tandem. Is it okay to update the pedals
PPedals can only be updated when they are connected to the PC via USB directly (and disconnected from the Wheel Base!)
Perfect. Thank you.
V3's which are bought now(or last week bf), do they have newest fw installed?
Most likely no.
Ok, no problem. Just good to know that when I get pedals, fw-update is needed straight away.
Got my v3's yesterday, seemed that firmware update for them went in seconds and just fine. Plugged them with usb to computer and then just updated from fanatec control panel(v444).
And after that I bolted them to my Simetik rig, and connected to CSL DD PRo base, Everything worked ok when I briefly tried on consoles(Dirt R1 and ACC).
