exact sequence of booting up dd2

i recently got a dd2, and sometimes i am fighting it to go into high torque mode. the only way i have gotten it to work well is booting up the wheelbase before booting up the pc. I always have the torque key installed and don't take it out. i have the latest driver version of 451. any help is appreciated.

    On my DD1, I always turn on the PC first (or wake from sleep), then turn on the wheelbase. Some message comes up saying something about torque (odd that I’ve totally forgotten what it says, considering I see it every time haha), I press any button on the wheel to clear it, and I’m then good to go in high torque mode.
