is-ind there a button at Fanatec app where you can calibrate that self? i not know tho how exactly DD1 calibration works
Whats the problem? The calibration looks totally correct.
in that clip what he posted, steering wheel is not at center, but there is button for this at fanatec app i think where you can todo that self i guess
Mhm? What I see is a perfectly fine calibration where the wheel turns 70° to the right and then back to (almost) center.
It is normal that it does not return to dead straight 0° center but around 5° off.
I see no issue here at all, the boot calibration is 100% correct.
When its not showing 0° in the driver AFTER the base booted and you manually turned the wheel perfectly straight, then the user has to click the "Wheel Center Calibration" Button (or press the two buttons according to the wheels manual) to initiate a new center calibration but that has nothing to do with this boot calibration which is flawless.
before the installation of the QR2 the wheel rotated completely like in this video...
I don't know why its different now
Because the QR is positioned slightly differently and it finds the position sensor now earlier.
Both calibration routines (doing a full 360° on boot or just going some degrees to the right and then back to center) are perfectly fine.
When you want that your wheel makes a full rotation again (which takes longer than the calibration routine you have now), just untighten the screws of the clamp and wiggle the QR2 Base-Side shaft a bit out to then turn it a few degrees further, then try again how it then calibreates until its back to how you want it.
But I like your current boot calibration more than the full rotation as its much faster.
So dont worry - its fine.
oh, ok. i will try this just to get sure. thx a lot
now the calibration works as before (the base too)
but now i have this clunky noise when i turn the DD1 off (video)
I didn't have that noise before :(
That's also normal. Nothing to worry about.
ok. thank you very much!
