Good morning, yesterday I received the new CSL DD base with the QR2 quick release to mount on my F1 esport V2 chainring. The base is recognized without problems (it is updated regularly), while the steering wheel, once the base is turned on, is not recognized. If I try to disconnect the steering wheel and reconnect it to the base by trying to force it towards the QR on the base it is recognized (the steering wheel is already updated to the latest software). It may seem that the pins do not fully fit into the base and this causes the steering wheel not to be recognised. The curious thing is that once recognized, if I turn off the base and turn it back on, the steering wheel is not recognized again and I have to repeat the procedure as above. I can't understand if it could be a QR problem (base or steering wheel) or the steering wheel itself having problems. To tell the truth, the steering wheel with the QR2 does not seem to fit perfectly into the QR of the base (at least when compared with the videos found online). Maybe I need to put some grease on the hub? Another thing I might think is that the 454 firmware has a bug about it. Who can give me a hand?

Have you replaced the metal disk where the pins are located with the black plastic one present in the QR2 package?
Yes...I try to replace the plastic one with another (there are 2 plastic disk) but is the same...

I used the F1 Esport V2 with QR2 wheelside on my CSL DD with QR2 baseside and there were no problems.
Since my Clubsport DD arrived I'm having these connection problems. I'm guessing it's somekind of software problem, because after connecting the wheel and it's not detected, all I have to do is to wait. It takes about 2 minutes and suddenly it's working.
Please fix this Fanatec.
I opened a ticket for the base. Onestly I think is a motherboard qr base problem but I will be happy if it is a software problem with firmware 454. The stange thing is that if you start the base the wheel was not recognized but if you pull out and plug in the wheel magically the wheel appear. I spoke with some youtuber and with other wheel there's no problem. I don't know...
The problem is that I have only the f1 esport v2 wheel and I can't try with another wheel.
Same for me. It's my only wheel too.
I write to Maurice on the forum of firmware 454 about our problem. Let's see if they are aware of the problem. Maybe you can quote the message for greater visibility to Maurice.
I noticed something.
I connect the wheel no pressure at all, the wheel is not detected. then there is a rhytmic ticking noise, very quietly.
After 2 Minutes the wheel is detected and the noise stops. It's sound somehow electrical.
I don't know Jonas. My wheel base is on travel to Germany for RMA. When come back I will test everything. If there will be something wrong I'll take money back with paypal.

Hi Jonas, today I receved a mail from fanatec that they send me the base...The curious thing is that they create a new order with a new base (new item with new serial). I think that they didn't repair my base but they give me a new product but i'm not sure. The base will be today in my house (I check with the ups tracking by referral because I don't have the tracking number yet).
That's great news, I hope the new CS DD is faultless and the ESports Wheel is working great again.
I'll send you an update here as soon as I have news on my RMA process.

I have shippings Numbers for two parcels Now and a New Base appeared in my products. So i'm assuming I'll have a New CS DD soon. Hopefully The other parcel is my "old" wheel with The QR2 . I Had to send IT Back too.
I receved the new base and I can confirm that in my case is a new unit and it works perfectly :-D I'm very happy :-D
A little update: the base works perfectly but there is a bit of coil wine from the base. I suggest to you to check this when will arrive your base. I’m thinking with another rma if the noise is very audible… I don’t test too much yesterday.

So Mine arrive. The CS DD Now ist a new one. And it performes great so far.
Thankfully RMA was way faster then i expected.

Hi Gokhan...you base is broken like my first base. I take an rma and they change my previous base with a new one (that finally works).

I got my CS DD back from RMA (a new base) and everything works fine now. My F1 wheel is now recognized by cs dd. :)
just noticed my F1 wheel will not be recognized after power off and on again when attached on the base. When I plug out and in again then it workd. After booting the QR Firmware shows the number 0.0.0.0 and when I plug out and in the wheel then it show 1.0.0.3 and the wheel will be reconized. Tested with Driver 455 same result.
I think you take another broken base. In my case, in my old broken base, the wheel not be recognized when you start the base, but if I plug out and reconnet the wheel, magically the wheel start to function. In my case was a qr base failure…I suggest you to try to disinstall all fanatec driver and remove from control panel of pc all the fanatec equipment and reinstall all.
nothing helps. this a Firmware issue from hardware. Driver is only for PC connection. The wheel have to recognize, even the wheelnbase is not connected to pc. I have opened a new RMA request. Incredible...
