Game stutters when I shift gears.

Hey all,

I have a Fanatec clubsport shifter plugged directly to my pc via USB. Sometimes when I shift gears (I'd say about 10% to 30% of the time) my game will freeze/stutter for about a second or two. It also seems to be worse with the 2nd and 4th gear, but it still occasionally happens with 1st and 3rd. Any tips on how to fix this?
