Best CSL Cockpit Setup for GT7

Hello, Fanatec community,

I’m planning to build a new rig using the CSL Cockpit, specifically for GT7. To maximize the immersiveness of the cockpit view in GT7, which setup do you think would work best in terms of FOV?

  1. CSL Cockpit Monitor Holder + 43-inch TV
  2. CSL Cockpit Monitor Holder + 48-inch TV
  3. CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand + 43-inch TV
  4. CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand + 48-inch TV

I’d love to hear your thoughts and recommendations!

  • Can’t say on size, but for immersion you might also consider PSVR2 if you have a PS5

    It's a 3.4 stand.

The monitor inevitably vibrates when using a holder connected to the frame.

The monitor size is related to the distance from your eyes, so it depends on your budget.

In my case, my PlayStation doesn't support ultra-wide displays, so I use a 16:9 curved display.

I wish I could have seen the CSL Cockpit on this year's Black Friday sale.

    Hi, Neil,

I already own a PSVR2. The gameplay experience is incredibly immersive and amazing! However, I find it a bit challenging to play for long periods.

    Hi, Hideaki-san,

Thank you for your advice! It really makes me think that the stand might be the better option. Using a stand would definitely eliminate concerns about shaking and provide a more comfortable gaming experience.

If the budget allows, do you think a bigger monitor would be a better choice?

A large monitor is good for concentrating on the road while driving.

However, it's hard to see information on both sides.

With the update to GT7, the 5 Pro now supports 8K, so performance is also important.

I guess it depends on your budget, with 8K being a must.

Even a 43-inch monitor will look quite large if you place it just behind the base.

However, if it's too close it can strain your eyes.

In any case, there are good and bad points, so it's just a matter of preference.
