My impression and feelings about GT DD Pro
Hello I don't know if I'm the only one,
I bought my GT DD Pro in 8nm two weeks ago and at the moment I'm more and more afraid that I'll degrade it the more I use it 😅
Not by external blows, but by the fact that I like to feel the aspects of the road (On asseto corsa for example I have an INT of 1) so I might as well tell you that when I go off-road, I literally let go of the steering wheel because he goes directly left and right very hard and hits the maximum angle several times (I think every simracer has experienced this in his life)
So I don't know if it's right or wrong, but I have the impression of taking this beautiful technology as something fragile in the long run (Okay, it's guaranteed for 2 years, but it's not the reason) Do I should? Or for you think there is nothing to worry about?
Comments
technically, fanatec csl dd could handle even 10 or 12 nm but they to may need change they safety stuff first. not know about gt dd, those are different products
Okay so for you I worry a little too much about the strength of the force feedback? Thanks for the reply
correct, they basic components not run they maximum specks so by default it should handle 8nm just fine without break it down
I received the GT DD Pro (8nm) a week ago, installed, updated drivers and thought I was good to go. Within an hour of light use on PS5 console (GT7), the product totally failed. Started with the smell of burning rubber/plastic, rear of DD feeling extremely hot to the touch, then complete shutdown and since has not turned on and is inoperable. I was running default settings.
Seems that even on default settings the product has durability issues.
i to know you feeling
Exactly the same problem happened to me too. After one hour of first use (Fanatec recommended GT7 settings and boost kit), disconnected from PS5 and burned out with little smoke and burnt smell. Now, waiting for a reply from Fanatec. Total disappointment.
I've received a return post ticket today. Two days after I gave support ticket, not too bad, still a frustrating incident.
