• Porsche 911 Carrera Wheel: Details
    • Let me show you our premium solution for the customer looking for a high price performance.

      The Porsche 911 Carrera Wheel

It has the essential features of our high-end wheels in the middle price range of racing wheels.

It sells in the USA for just 149,95 USD (fanatec webshop) and in Europe between 150 and 200 € depending on the country and the pricing policy of the local distributor.

These features sets it apart from the competition:

      • Big wheel rim diameter: 300 mm
      • Fine TPE rubber wheel rim (heavy and solid) with smooth feeling
      • 6+1 gear stick included
      • Pedals with clutch and different meachanics for each pedal for more realism
      • TUNING LED to adjust Force feedback strength, dampening strength and steering angle.
      • LED display shows telemetry data information from the game (speed, gear, shifting indicator etc)
      • 900° steering angle
      • 14 buttons on the wheel rim
      • Original reproduction of a 911 Carrera wheel rim
      • Designed for PC (PS3 games work but there are no button symbols)

Here the the technical differences from the 911 Turbo wheel:

      • gear drive instead of belt drive
      • higher gear ratio eliminates the cooling fans and reduce the size of the power supply
      • on/off switch
      • no soft touch coating
      • less painted parts
      • no illuminated buttons
      • no additional vibration motors in the wheel
      • wired data transfer on wheel and pedal
      • TPE wheel rim instead of leather
      • pedals without chrome plating and without steel plate (available optional)
      • possible upgrade with the Clubsport paddle shifters (metal)

  • Porsche 911 Turbo S: Total info!

    • Here are all the infos you wanted to hear about the new Porsche 911 Turbo S Wheel.

First of all. This wheel is a LIMITED EDITION and we are not planning to make any other wheel of this quality level for the Xbox soon. So you will get something truly exclusive each with a number plate and serial number.

The production is schedules to start in march 2009.

We will start with the pre-sales this week and all pre-orders get a significant discount. Of course only until an edition is sold out.

There will be 3 different editions to satisfy all tastes and to reach are broad audience.

The most affordable will be the "Porsche 911 Turbo S Wheel Pure Edition". It starts at 149,95 USD / EUR (regular 199,95USD EUR).

      • High-end wheel with belt drive, ball bearings, super strong Force feedback and leather wheel
      • Compatible to Xbox 360 (can be upgraded)
      • shifters optional
      • no pedals included but compatible with the pedals of the Microsoft wheel or the G25 (and the Porsche wheel pedals of course)

The regular version is very similar to the existing Porsche 911 Turbo and goes for 249,95 EUR / USD (regular 349,95 EUR / USD)

      • With the RF dongle this wheel is compatible to PC and Playstation 3 without any limitations.
      • New RF technology for improved performance and distance
      • Wired pedals with clutch included
      • Big metal paddle shifters
      • Edit: The 6+1 shifter is compatible to all future games which support manual shifting (there are compatibility issues which killed the possibility to make it compatible to current games. It would work only on some games and cause problems on others)

The "Porsche 911 Turbo S Clubsport edition" includes the new high-end pedals fully made of metal and sells for 399,95 EUR / USD (regular 499,95 EUR/USD)

  • Force Feedback now working in Forza 2 and info about pedal compatibility

    • We finally managed to get force feedback signals working in the game which was the last big obstacle in finalizing the development.

I am also happy to announce that the Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel (PWTS) will be working with 4 different pedals.

      1. Standard pedals (similar to PWT but wired)
      2. Clubsport pedals
      3. Logitech G25 pedals
      4. Microsoft Wireless Racing Wheel for Xbox 360

The last 2 options will be relevant for customers who choose to buy the "Pure" edition which is only the wheel without pedals. There will also be a Clubsport edition which features the new clubsport pedals.

Pricing, availability and full technical specs will be announced next week here on the blog.

When I am back in Germany in two weeks, I will make a comprehensive video of PWTS and introduce all features.

  • PWT: Playstation 2 compatibility

    • Some users ask if the Porsche 911 Turbo wheel is also compatible to the Playstation 2 or Playstation 2 games played on Playstation 3.

Yes it is! Just press the button on the dongle to activate it.

We did not officially declare it as a PS2 product because otherwise we would have needed to test several hundreds games (in all language versions).

      Try it out!

  • Xbox 360 Prototype almost there...

    • The Xbox360 (only) version of the Porsche wheel is already running and we can play games but the Forcefeedback effects are not fully working yet as they should.

Our target is to give a prototype next week to the developers of Simbin so they can integrate it into their new racing sim RACE Pro .

  • ClubSport Table Clamp available for pre-order

    • You can now order the Clubsport Table Clamp for your Porsche wheel.

It will give your wheel and shifters an extremely strong mount to almost any table out there. But my favourite feature is the adjustable wheel angle.

  • RennSport Cockpit shown at Games Convention

    • On the Games Convention we presented the new RennSport Cockpit.

This is a ultra solid full aluminium construction which is Made in Germany. It comes with a real racing seat (shown in carbon) and is full yadjustable.

It is made especially for our wheels so the ergonomics are perfect. Personally I loved the three monitor setup driving a Cup Porsche GT3 RS on the Nordschleife (rFactor)

      R
ennSport Wheel Stand http://www.fanatec.de/html/index.php?id=220&lang=<?= en ?>

This is the perfect solution to play in your living room without a table. And NO, it will NOT shake (as similar solutions out there)

It is a heavy metal construction but at the same time super easy to handle and you can store away the wheel within 10 seconds.

  • GT5:P problem solved
    • After the last update of the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo: Prologue to version "Spec III" the game was no longer compatible with our PWT.

We were looking for a solution together with Sony and decided to update the firmware of the wheel instead of updating the game as this is much faster.

In the support section of Fanatec.com you will find an update program to change the firmware of the dongle. Please read the instructions ;)

If you are not a member yet you have to register to this website first.

Please fill out as much as you can. We will use this data not for marketing purposes or even sell the data but we need to have enough information to make a fair selection.

The tests will take several months and we will not start with all products at the same time so even if you not have been selected for one product you still have a chance to get selected for the next round.

I am looking forward to work with the community again on our new productsand I am confident that we all get great results again.

You have made the Porsche 911 Turbo wheel the best wheel for the mass market out there and now let's make more great products together.

      LED

      • Speed: Shows speed
      • Gear: Shows selected gear
      • Fuel: Shows remaining fuel
      • Place: Shows current position

      Vibration

  • Xbox 360 wheel demo with Forza 2

    • This is the first video of the Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel for Xbox 360 in action.

The wheel runs well with Forza 2 and other games but it still lacks some Force Feedback effects. We also still need to implement the Tuning function and the 6 speed gear shifter
