firmware laptop friendly?

if i buy the formula v2 steering wheel and the club sport wheel base v2.5 can i use a laptop to download the updated firmware? or does it have to be done on a gaming cpu? also will the clubsport pedale v3 need an update as well?

Windows laptop works, CSP don't need an update.

No problem updating the firmware on a different PC. When i raced on PS4 I updated on my Mac using bootcamp and even that worked fine.
