Recognized the Wrong Wheel

I just got my CSL DD in today and it's largely been a hastle to set up. Right now I have the McLaren GT3 V2 wheel and it's recognizing it as a CSL Elite Steering Wheel P1, and thus...not working. Is there any way to fix this so it recognizes the wheel correctly?

    Hi Connor,

Firstly please check that the wheel is fully seated on the wheel base shaft. You may have to push it on quite hard.

You should also check the pins at the back of the wheel for damage (it is normal that one is shorter than the rest).

If everything looks fine and you're still having issues, you can try the following:

    1) Reset your devices by following this guide: https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/1758/symptom-fanatec-driver-does-not-install-uninstall-correctly

    2) Install the driver package again and update the firmware: https://fanatec.com/eu-en/driver

    3) Open the Firmware Update manager by clicking on the update tab in the Fanatec wheel property page and perform all of the available firmware updates.

If you're still having issues please contact support - you can contact them by creating a Support Ticket via the My Products section of your Fanatec account, or you can try the Live Chat feature, open Monday to Friday, 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. (CEST). Live Chat is active whenever you see the headset icon on the site.
